Americo Chaquisse

I am a Lead of Software Platform Engineering and Software Architect based in Maputo, Mozambique, with a strong background in leading teams and designing robust, scalable software solutions. My expertise lies in software development, systems architecture, and agile project management.

Currently, at Vodacom Mozambique, I lead the Software Platform Delivery team, where we focus on providing DevSecOps tools, managing CI/CD pipelines, and implementing software platform solutions on both AWS and on-premises infrastructure. I also act as a Product Owner and Engineering Lead, working to unify the engineering experience and reduce time-to-market.

Before my current role, I worked as a Software Engineer and Architect at BCI (bank), where I led the development of a web-based retail banking platform and other key internal applications. I am a lifelong learner, currently pursuing my Master’s in Software Engineering, and I hold several industry certifications, including AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, and SAFe® 6 PO/PM. I thrive on new challenges and am committed to fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
